Alice Kotter Galliher Dunn, 98, of Fishers, Ind., formerly of Metropolis and Paducah, passed away at 7 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 28, 2011 at Prairie Lakes Health Campus in Noblesville, Ind.

Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Milner and Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Willis Henson officiating. Burial will follow at Massac Memorial Gardens in Metropolis.

Mrs. Dunn was born on April 21, 1913 in Metropolis to Theodore J. and Anna M. Owens Kotter. She was a beautician for over 40 years, having been the owner and operator of Alice's Beauty Shoppe in Metropolis. She was a former member of Metropolis First Baptist Church and Lone Oak First Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughter, Sally Ann Galliher of Fishers; one daughter-in-law, Barbara Johnson Galliher of Fenton, Mo.; two stepdaughters-in-law, Blanche Dunn Kaneshiro of Hawaii and Marian Dunn of Tennessee; five sisters, Mary LaVeau, Adeline Edwards and husband Harry and Phyllis Garner and husband Jack, all of Metropolis, and Ann Taylor and Geri Rushing and husband Gene, all of Paducah; and many loving nieces, nephews and stepgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, William Galliher; her second husband, T. Wayne Dunn; one son, Rev. William David Galliher; one sister, Helen Kotter Causer; one brother, Robert Theodore Kotter; and two brothers-in-law, Louis F. LaVeau Jr. and Jack "Jeek" Taylor.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour Thursday at the funeral home.
