Allene worked at the Good Luck Glove Factory and retired from City National Bank, where she worked as a custodian.
She attended First Church of God in Metropolis.
Allene loved quilting, feeding birds and gardening.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Charles F. Kommer of Kevil; two sons, Leroy Kommer and wife Margaret of West Paducah and Bradley Kommer and wife Cheryl of Hamel; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three sisters, Virg Lottila of Wisconsin and Katherine Hart and Jan McDonald, both of Paducah; one brother, William Medley of Peru; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William Bill and Laura Helen Peck Medley; three sisters, Geraldine Ross, Linda Medley and Adell Rhodes; one brother, Dick Medley; and an infant brother.
Funeral service was held Monday at Miller Funeral Home in Metropolis with Rev. Everett Shaw officiating.
Burial followed at Metropolis Memorial Gardens.
