Alma Lee Fitzpatrick Riley, 86, of Metropolis, died Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013 at her granddaughter’s home.

Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at First Missionary Baptist Church in Metropolis with Rev. James H. Vinson and Rev. Michael Wade officiating. Burial will follow in Masonic Cemetery in Metropolis.

Mrs. Riley was a member of First Missionary Baptist Church, where she served on the Mother’s Board and was a member of the Missionary Society. She was formerly employed at McAfee’s Used Furniture Store and was a volunteer at COPE Food Pantry in Metropolis.

Survivors include six sons, Virgil Eunice Riley of Unionville, Cameron Riley of Columbia, Mo., Hillary Ray Riley of Dumas, Ariz., James Riley and Clemar Lee Riley, both of Metropolis, and Edgar Lee Burns of Vincent, Ind.; five daughters, Sharon Ann Goodman, Brenda Faye Meadows, Emma Louise Riley, Mary M. Riley and Margaret Ann Bradford, all of Metropolis; 21 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Ben Riley Sr.; one daughter, Carolyn Sue Riley; an infant son, Willie Ben Riley Jr.; her parents, William Fitzpatrick and Edna Johnson Fitzpatrick Walker; and one brother.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour Saturday at the church.

Pettus-Rowland Funeral Home of Paducah is in charge of arrangements.
