Amos E. “Red” Holt, 79, of the Hillerman community in Massac County, died Tuesday, Jan 3, 2012, at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah.

Mr. Holt was a member of Boaz Pentecostal Church and worked for Cummins Hatchery and Jim’s True value. He loved sports, coon hunting and fishing.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Elizabeth Jane Holt; one sister, Donna D’anza of Ridge Crest, Calif.; and two grandchildren, Travis and Little Travis Nyman Jr. of Three Rivers, Mich.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Maggie Helen Cummins Holt; one son, Jerry Holt; one sister, Ruth Riley; and one brother, James M. Holt.

Graveside service was held Thursday at Anderson Cemetery in the Boaz community with Rev. David Keyes and Flo Patrick officiating. Pallbearers were Josh Reagor, Chad Souders, Patrick Keyes, Cliff Kessler, Rickie Crews and Brandon Holt.
