Sue’s passion was music. Through the years, she served as church choir director, organist, pianist and soloist. She loved doing crossword puzzles and attending sporting events with her husband and other family members.
Survivors include one daughter, Amy Quint of Benton; one sister, Luana Flynn and husband Jerry of Red Bud; two sisters-in-law, Jo Ann Logeman and Jean Quint, both of Metropolis; seven nephews: Jeff Quint and wife Misty of Carterville, Jeremy Flynn and wife Janean of Chatham, Chris Flynn and wife Meredith of Springfield, Brent Logeman and wife Tonia of Simpson and Kevin Logeman and wife Marla, Scott Logeman and wife Laura and Jared Quint and wife Natalie, all of Metropolis; two nieces, Erin Flynn of Swansea and Jennifer Russell and husband Greg of Metropolis; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Mildred Miller Meinders; and her husband of over 52 years, Everett Quint.
Funeral service was held Thursday at Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home in Metropolis with Rev. Frank Forthman officiating. Burial followed at Metropolis Memorial Gardens.
