Ms. Baird was an employee at Good Luck Glove Factory in Metropolis for over 20 years.
Survivors include one daughter, Virginia Phillips and husband Marlon of Fillmore; one son, Jerry Wayne Baird and wife Teresa of Unionville; 11 grandchildren, Delaine Douglas, Buffy Lee, Courtney Wiley, Marlon Phillips, Beverly Slightom, Eddie Baird, Sean Whitnel, Elizabeth Jones, Caleb Baird, Robin Hunt and Kelly Bailey; 25 great-grandchildren; one brother, Earl Warner Wiggins of Irving; several nieces and nephews; and special friends and caregivers, Marlena Carl, Michelle Winding, Shonna Bates, Melissa Fadely, Ruthie Johnson, Marilyn Gallagher, Linda Wilson, Tammy Rushing, Linda Rhymer, Barbara Christian, Pauline Guilbeaux and Chris Fulkerson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar Lillie and Audrey McDaniel Wiggins; her husband of 58 years, Jerry Baird; one son, Lawrence Baird; one great-grandson, Jordan Sullivan; two sisters, Virginia Lucille Hollabaugh and Mary Louise Gray; and one brother, James Kenneth Wiggins.
Funeral service was held Sunday at Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home in Metropolis. Burial followed at Metropolis Memorial Gardens.
