You didn’t like the odds of Massac County’s Lady Patriots beating Breese Central in the first round of the Sesser-Valier sectional, and if that improbable event did occur, you really didn’t like the odds of beating Nashville to advance on to the Salem supersectional.

Well, the Cougars of Breese took care of all those eventualities with a 49-21 throttling of Massac County.

That old two-headed monster of cold shooting and poor ball handling reared its ugly head again last Thursday night at Sesser as Breese ground out the win.
