Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Cave Hill Cemetery with Jeff Stone officiating.
Born Dec. 29, 1928 in Rosiclare, Mr. Dalton was a member of Woodman of America.
He was a retired schoolteacher.
Survivors include one daughter, Christal Korner and husband Thomas of Metropolis; one son, Timothy Dalton of Justice; one brother, Galen Dalton and wife Mary of Harrisburg; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded by his wife, Galena Dalton; his parents, Charles Dalton and Addie Davis Dalton; and one brother, Paul Dean Dalton.
Visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. Thursday at Rose-Gilbert Funeral Home in Cave-in-Rock.
