Mrs. Quint was a member of First Baptist Church in Metropolis. She was employed by the Department of Children and Family Services as a child care worker at the Illinois Soldiers and Sailors School for Children. She also worked at the Baptist Children’s Home before retiring in 1983.
Survivors include one son, Gary Quint and wife Connie of Brookport; one daughter, Carmen Esler of Platte City, Mo.; five grandchildren, Matthew Quint and wife Missy of Brookport, Christin James of Paducah, Jacob Quint and wife Brandi of Metropolis Jordan Quint and wife Sarah of Nashville, Tenn. and Aarin Esler and wife Joy of Jacksonville, Fla.; eight great-grandchildren, Emma James, Addi James, Hank James and Jack James, all of Paducah, Carter Quint of Metropolis and Eli Quint, Chloe Quint and Neely Quint, all of Brookport.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Beatrice Mann Kline; her husband, Leon Quint; and one son-in-law, George Esler.
Funeral service was held Saturday at Miller Funeral Home in Metropolis with Rev. Louis W. Brinker officiating.
Burial followed at Metropolis Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers were Gary Quint, Matthew Quint, Christin James, Jacob Quint, Jordan Quint and Aarin Esler. Honorary pallbearers were her great-grandchildren.
