Survivors include his wife, Joetta Henderson of Metropolis; one daughter, Ruth Ann Smith and husband Ronald of Arab, Ala.; two sons, Ronald Eugene Henderson of Sequin, Wash. and Larry Allen Henderson of Matteson; one stepson, Ronnie Stubblefield of Metropolis; two brothers, Roy Henderson of Riverside, Calif. and Marion “Bulldog” Henderson of Metropolis; eight grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Francis and Daisy Pierce Henderson; one infant daughter, Helen Faye Hendrson; his first wife, Mamie Henderson; one grandson, Sean Henderson; and three brothers, Paul, Hammond and Elzie Henderson.
Funeral service was held Saturday at Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home in Metropolis with Rev. David Keyes and Rev. Ben Hottel officiating.
Burial followed at Hillerman Baptist Church Cemetery.
