Clarence E. “Gig” Troutman Jr., 75, of Vienna, formerly of Lockport, died Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012 at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah.

Born Nov. 25, 1937 in Joliet, Mr. Troutman served in the U.S. Air Force. He worked for Nabisco Inc. in Chicago, where he was employed as a maintenance mechanic and welder, retiring in 1998. Mr. Troutman was a member of the Christian Motorcycle Group, a former member of the Northwest Homer Fire Department in Lockport and a former auxiliary police officer in Lockport as well. He was of the Catholic faith.

Survivors include his wife of 12 years, Gail West Vesper Troutman of Vienna; two sons, Christopher Troutman and wife Tammie of Shreveport, La. and Loren Troutman and wife Rebeckah of La Vergne, Tenn.; two daughters, Laura Oram and husband Douglas of Joliet and Lynn Marie Carter and Gerald Wirkus of Wilmington; eight grandchildren; one brother, Lawrence “Larry” Troutman and wife Elaine of Shorewood; three stepdaughters, Amy Vesper of Reddick, Fla., Tammy Vesper of Gainesville, Fla. and Molly Weisser and husband Marc of Royal Palm Beach, Fla.; three stepgrandsons; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence E. Troutman Sr. and Anna Janosica Troutman; three sisters, Marcella Webb, Leona Sharapa and Marilyn Heiler; and one brother, James “Jimmy” Troutman.

As per Mr. Troutman’s wishes, there was no public visitation or service.

Memorials may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1905; to the American Heart Association, 2524 Farrugut Drive Suite A, Springfield, IL 62704; or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
