Massac County Clerk John Taylor has announced that his office has now joined the Illinois County Clerk and Recorders Portal, allowing the public 24-7 access to view and/or print their county records.

The state portal is implemented at no cost to the Massac County Clerk and Recorder’s office.

Now, land records, such as deeds, liens and maps, index and images can be viewed via the internet. If a searcher needs to print an image, they can now do so via the internet for $1 per page, as defined by the state of Illinois.

The per-page print fee is a convenience charge, which is kept by the county — a revenue stream for the county budget.

According to Mary Cook, implementation specialist with Cott Systems, individuals who sign in as a guest will be able to view the indexes only. People who want to view and or print the images will have to have a paid subscription.
