Sullivan also provided to the board a breakdown of all of the sources his office has received money from Aug. 7 through Monday. According to that information, the county has received $141,894 in state monies; $62,500 for salary reimbursements; $46,689 for various local office fees; and $866 in miscellaneous receipts, coming to a total of $251,951.
Sullivan talked briefly about tax bills and the collection of money. He told the board that several people have already been in to pay their tax bills and said the majority of those paying early pay both installments.
According to Sullivan, he has been getting several property tax bills that have been returned to his office. He said it is the property owners' responsibility to make certain they receive their bill. Sullivan said if individuals do not receive a bill they need to call his office at 524-5121 immediately.
