Revenue was the main topic of conversation between Massac County Commissioners and representatives from various county offices last Wednesday afternoon. The purpose of the called meeting according to Commission Chair Jayson Farmer was for the commissioners to make certain that the revenue figures for 2012 being used for the 2013 budgeting are accurate.

Commissioners Farmer, Jeff Weber and Jerel Childers first reviewed the figures from the Massac County Clerk’s office with Deputy County Clerk Juanita Wedeking, who indicated the figure of $56,113 in fees from the clerk’s office was correct, within one dollars difference.

Farmer asked about the varying fee amounts in June and August of 2012. Wedeking said last year in June the office was “swamped” with recordings, but noted in August there were not that many people doing any recording.
