Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28 at Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home in Metropolis with Bro. Chris Sielbeck officiating. Burial will follow at Metropolis Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Jaco was a member of New Beginnings Baptist Church in Metropolis and was a retired plant mechanic from Electric Energy Inc. of Joppa.
He was an Army veteran, after serving two tours in Vietnam, and a member of the Amvets 132 and Moose Lodge, both in Metropolis.
Survivors include his wife of nearly 40 years, LouAnn Jaco; four children, Travis Jaco and wife Christy, David Jaco and wife Amanda, Faith Jaco and Robert Parmley III and companion Gina Parr, all of Metropolis; six grandchildren, Dylan Jaco, Coy Jaco, Angel Jaco, Kage Jaco, Austin Cohoon and Jadyn Myrick, all of Metropolis; two brothers, Eldon Jaco and companion Sue Hetrick and John Jaco and wife Donna, all of Metropolis; two sisters, Esther Sullenger and husband Eddie and Libby Meyer and husband Jerry, all of Metropolis; his mother-in-law, Alberta Rogers Wallace of Metropolis; three brothers-in-law, John Rogers of Brookport and Don Sullivan and Sam Scott, both of Metropolis; and several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Grace Louise Whitman Jaco; three sisters, LaSchaun Scott, Jareda Sullivan and Pamelia Buettner; his father-in-law, John Robert Rogers; his stepfather-in-law, Bill Wallace; two grandchildren, Haley and Chase Massey; and an infant sister, Janie Ruth Jaco.
