Mr. Knotts was a farm laborer and of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Frances Knotts of Hamletsburg; two daughters, Sue Ellen Powell and special friend David Pease of Grand Chain and Sherry Knotts of Hamletsburg; two sons, Steven Knotts and fiancé Amanda Jones of Hamletsburg and Phillip Knotts of Hamletsburg; five grandchildren, Taylor Dawn Knotts, Cheyenne Apfel and Hunter Apfel, all of Brookport, and Brandie and Tanya Powell, both of Grand Chain; one great-granddaughter, Danielle Powell of Grand Chain; six sisters, Martha Pratz and husband Steve of New Port Richey, Fla., Barbara Raymer of Chico, Texas, Ruthann Frost of La Center, Ky., Nancy Troutt and husband John of Vienna and Mary Staton and Dianne Rushing, both of Buncombe; three brothers, Earl Knotts of Jackson, Tenn., Thomas Knotts of Yellville, Ark. and James Knotts of Vienna; one sister-in-law, Virginia Haley of Mayfield, Ky.; and several nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Timothy Reeves and Agnes Jewell Colbert Knotts; and one brother, Wayne Knotts.
Graveside service was held Tuesday at Metropolis Memorial Gardens with Rev. Ron Schriefer officiating.
Brookport Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
