Gerald Henson, 65, of Brookport, passed away Wednesday, July 25, 2012.

Gerald was an Army veteran who served in the Vietnam War and retired from Midland Enterprises after 26 years. He was currently working for TVT, a division of James Marine.

Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Connie Henson of Brookport; one daughter, Lynn McNichols and husband Kris of Metropolis; two grandchildren, Kaleb McNichols and Kelsey McNichols, both of Metropolis; three sisters, Margaret LaVerne Baker and husband Jim of Satsuma, Fla., Earlene Hertter and husband Bob of Metropolis and Mary Hudson and husband John of Paducah; two brothers, Raymond “Gene” Henson of Brookport and David “Donnie” Henson of Metropolis; his lifelong friend, Kenneth Gurley and wife Regina; his two aunts, Emma Parkins and Veeda Henson, both of Metropolis; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Evelyn Adams Henson; and three brothers, Kenneth Henson, Wayne Henson and Lowell Henson.

Funeral service was held at Brookport Funeral Home Saturday with Bro. David LeNeave officiating. Burial followed at Mt. Sterling Cemetery. Pallbearers were Raymond Lang, Wes Edward, Shannon Keith, Robert Lang Jr., Mike McKee and Gary Adams.
