Born June 13, 1965 in Beeville, Texas, Mr. Constante was a petroleum engineer for Empirica Oil and was of the Catholic faith.
Survivors include one son, Gilbert Constante Jr. of Beeville; his parents, Ester and Guadalupe Constante Sr. of Pettus, Texas; nine siblings; one son-in-law, Taylor Clevenger of Papalote; two grandchildren, Ethan and Kenzie Clevenger; 34 nieces and nephews; 30 great-nieces and great-nephews; two stepdaughters, Alexis Gonzales and Haley Perez, both of Metropolis; and one stepson, Cory Perez of Metropolis.
Besides his daughter, he was preceded in death by his grandparents.
A joint funeral service for Mr. Constante and his daughter was held Sept. 15 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Richard Gonzales officiating. Burial followed in Papalote.
