Following a business-like win in the regionals last week at Anna’s Union County Country Club, Massac County’s girls golf team continued on their quest to get to the state tournament again with a sectional tournament win Monday at Effingham Country Club.

The 14-stroke win re-emphasized the overall quality of this Massac team. Massac didn’t have a girl in the top four scores, but with an 82, two 85s and a 91, the team score was 14 strokes better than their nearest competitor Nashville.

Eldorado and Nashville advance along with Massac County to this weekend’s state tournament action at Decatur’s Red Tail Run golf course on Friday and Saturday.
