Glenda S. Mize, 75, of Orlando, Fla., formerly of Perks, died Sunday, May 12, 2013 at her home.

Born Aug. 1, 1937 in Perks, Mrs. Mize attended Paducah Business College, graduating with a business degree.

She and her husband, Harold, moved to Chicago and had two daughters, where she was a housewife until her family moved to Orlando in 1981.

She began her career at Walt Disney World as a merchandise hostess, where she retired with 30 years of service with the company in 2011.

Survivors include her daughter, Debra Mize; two grandsons; one granddaughter; and one son in-law, Russ Hamilton.

She is preceded in death by her parents Ada and David Rose; her husband, Harold C. Mize; one daughter, Beverly Mize; one sister; brother, Carl Rose; and son in-law, Joseph Wemple.

Funeral service was held Thursday at Wilson Funeral Home in Karnak with Rev. F. Jerry Herring officiating.

Burial followed at Oddfellows Cemetery in Golconda.
