Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. John Lutheran Church Cemetery.
Mr. Volle was a life-long farmer and a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in the Korean War.
Survivors include his brother-in-law, Gary Dassing; and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Calvin and Reba Quertermous Volle; and his two sisters, Joyce Dassing and Wanda Kommer.
Visitation will be held Thursday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home in Metropolis.
