Mr. Hodge was a retired brickmason.
He was of the Methodist faith and a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp.
Survivors include his wife, Junie Casper Hodge of Metropolis; two daughters, Sandy Hodge of Florida and Jessica Hodge of California; two sons, Jeffery Hodge and Larry Hodge, both of Ohio; two stepchildren, Tracy McManus and Mike Casper, both of Metropolis; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one sister, Betty Papke of Brighton, Mich.; one brother, Dr. John Hodge of Metropolis; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Dare and Gennie Lynn Brewner Hodge; his first wife, Joyce Hodge; four sisters; and five brothers.
A private service will be held at a later date.
