Helen M. Taylor, 91, of Jonesboro, passed away at 4:43 p.m. on Monday, May 7, 2012 at Jonesboro Rehabilitation and Care Center.

Helen was born Feb. 2, 1921 to Robie and Freda Eleam of Golconda. She married Kenneth W. Taylor on Aug. 17, 1942. He preceded her in death on June 25, 1979.

Helen was a member of Jonesboro United Methodist Church. She was employed by Choate Mental Health and Development Center in Anna for 23 years in the dietary department.

She will be missed by her family and all that knew her. She loved gardening, quilting and sewing.

Survivors include two sons, Gary Taylor and wife Donna and Kenneth Taylor and wife Donna, both of Anna; two daughters, Joyce Kappie and husband Ken of Pembroke Pines, Fla., and Janice Newton and husband Clark of Jonesboro; her beloved grandchildren, Kenny Kappie and wife Michelle, Julie Skidelsky and husband Scott, Andrea Hammack and husband Tony, Tim Bowen and wife Angie, Amy Bowen, Klinton Taylor and wife Sami, Lindsey Teefey and husband John, Adam Taylor and wife Ashley and Brent Taylor; her cherished 17 great-grandchildren; her loving brother, Robie Eleam Jr. and wife Lawanda of Golconda; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband; an infant son, granddaughter and grandson; her parents; and one brother, Wayne Eleam.

Funeral service was held Friday at Crain Funeral Home in Anna with Pastor Mark Roath officiating. Burial followed at Shedville Cemetery in Pope County.
