Imogene Parmer, 94, of Metropolis, died Thursday, Sept. 22, 2011 at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah.

Mrs. Parmer was a member of Metropolis First United Methodist Church and was a former employee of the glove factory.

Survivors include one daughter, Kathy Russell and husband Fred of Metropolis; one granddaughter, Jennifer Russell of Metropolis; one sister, Marilyn Rogers and husband Elwood of Heltonville, Ind.; two brothers, Dale Hille of Detroit, Mich. and Robert Hille and wife Joanne of Visalia, Calif.; one brother-in-law, George Holland of Marion; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Gertrude Crow Hille; her husband, Frank Parmer; two sisters, Kathleen Pingleton and Mary Helen Holland; and one brother, Eugene Hille.

Funeral service was held Sunday at Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home in Metropolis with Rev. Jon Cockrel officiating.

Burial followed at IOOF Cemetery in Metropolis.

Pallbearers were Brandon Heine, Jack Russell, David Atwell, Trad York, Nick Deasel and Bill Fowler.
