Keith Shelton, Lady Patriot basketball coach, had mixed feelings about his team’s performance in the Nashville Thanksgiving tournament.

“I’m a little disappointed with where we are. We outrebounded every team in the tournament except Mascoutah. We shot 13 for 68 from inside the arc on Friday, but we hit seven threes against Mascoutah. We shot 9 for 23 from the charity stripe in that game. We had some good defensive stretches but the first half against Freeburg was really bad.

“We needed a tough win in our first game and we got that, it was really a mixed bag. Henley and Hoard [Kristina and Emily] both made the all tournament team. So far our turnover rate is lower than last years, but its still too high and our execution is off,” said Shelton.
