Massac County’s Lady Patriots stood at 2 up and 2 down after play last week at the Nashville Thanksgiving Tournament.

The young Lady Patriots had their moments, good and bad, as they squandered a couple of eleven point leads before falling 51-48 in overtime to Collinsville.

The final quarter performance doomed the otherwise decent first-game effort.

Sparkplug Emily Hoard was relegated to the bench with five fouls mid-way of the fourth quarter.

For the game Lauren Bunting came up big with 12 points and 15 rebounds.

Jessie Douglas had 13 points in the loss.

Nashville was next on Massac’s Thanksgiving menu and the Lady Hornets left Massac with a bitter taste in their mouths.
