Born in Brookport on Feb. 8, 1941, Mr. Dunn was of the Methodist faith and was employed as a civil engineer and had been employed by Rogers Redi-mix Concrete in Red Bud.
Survivors include one daughter; Sandy Paulsen and husband Hans of Cedartown, Ga.; one sister, Patty Klaffer and husband Jim Klaffer of Rockhill, S.C.; three stepsons, Todd Dunn, Greg Leinicke and Steve Leinicke; eight grandchildren, Porter and Ella Paulsen, Autumn and Carson Dunn, Jerina and Jared Leinicke and Brook and Colson Dunn; and two nieces, Melanie Wilson and Julie Faulkenberry.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ward and Anna Laura Dummeier Dunn; his wife of 17 years, Connie Sue McMahon Dunn; one son, Gregory Lee Dunn; and two stepsons, Scott and Blake Dunn.
Funeral service was held Sunday at Crawshaw Funeral Home in Murphysboro with Rev. Earl Renshaw officiating.
Burial followed at Parrish Cemetery in Vergennes.
Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
