Lloyd “Brownie” Bradford, 91, of Metropolis, died Saturday, March 31, 2012 at Lourdes hospital in Paducah.

Funeral service will be held at noon Friday at Crockett Street Church of Christ in Brookport with Bro. William Hensley officiating.

Burial will follow at Mathis Cemetery in Choate.

Mr. Bradford was a member of Crockett Street Church of Christ and a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during World War II and the Korean Conflict.

He was a retired mechanic of Allied Chemicals of Metropolis.

Survivors include two sons, William Junior Bradford of Mermet and Franklin Sanders Bradford of Metropolis; one daughter, Crystal F. Raye of Metropolis; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one brother, Waymond “Pap” Bradford of Indianapolis, Ind.; one sister, Helen Sutton of Metropolis; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jessie Marie Sanders Bradford; his parents, William Franklin Bradford and Bessie Lowery Bradford; one daughter; six brothers; and two sisters.

Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the funeral hour on Friday.

Pettus-Rowland Funeral Home in Paducah is in charge of arrangements.
