If you follow local sports at all, you have to be aware of the success of Massac County’s golf programs.

That success has helped put a handful of local student-athletes “on the map” at the next level of competition.

Following the hole in one recorded by Dawn Wientjes of Western Kentucky earlier this spring, Austin Peay sophomore Tala Mumford duplicated the feat on April 3 at Old Hickory Golf Club in Nashville.
