Ryan Lott, offensive line coach and strength and conditioning coach last year for John Warren, was named as Massac County High School’s new head football coach Monday night.

Lott, a Jerseyville native, takes over a program that, although finishing with a 3-6 record, seemed to be on the right path at year’s end.

Lott said most of the staff will remain the same in an effort to maintain consistency.

He also emphasized a desire to get the school’s best athletes into the football program.
