After opening the season in the tough and well balanced Pyramid Plus Tournament held at Herrin, Massac’s Patriots stepped down in class a notch or two [horse racing parlance] and made it to the winner’s circle twice last week.
The boys went to Vienna Friday night and smothered the host Eagles 63-38.
Following a few hours of sleep, the lads were back in action Saturday morning at the Marshall County Hoopfest where they handed the Lakers of Calloway County a 62-42 paddling.
