Following decisive wins over Johnston City and Anna-Jonesboro last week, the MCHS Lady Patriots traveled south to Murray, Ky. and were surprised Monday afternoon by the Lady Lakers in a close 3-2 loss.

At Johnston City, Kaylee Childers served up two first inning homeruns and found herself on the short end of a 3-2 score after one inning. But Childers righted her ship and served up nothing but goose eggs for the rest of the game tossing a two hitter for her 20th win of the season.

Childers had plenty of offensive support as Jessie Lamb, Courtney Copley and Madison Stephens combined for eight hits and five RBI in the 15 hit onslaught.
