Mr. Jones was employed with Dippin’ Dots in Paducah and was a member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include his mother, Mary Reeves Jones of Grand Chain; his wife, Cathy Short Jones of Grand Chain; four daughters, Stephanie Bucher and husband Joshua and Sarah Harris and husband Stephen Jr., all of Metropolis, Kim Jones and fiancé Ronnie Hughes of Lone Oak, Ky. and Christina Cole and husband Jason of Grantsburg; one son, Brad Jones and wife Candace of Metropolis; 12 grandchildren, Jonathon Harris, Nathan Harris, Devin Heine, Colton Jones, Cooper Jones, Olivia Bucher, Connor Bucher and Kylie Bucher, all of Metropolis, Katelyn Jones of Lone Oak, and David Hines, Chris Cole and Darren Cole, all of Grantsburg; one sister, Rebecca Moss and husband Melvin of Grand Chain; three brothers, Mike Jones and wife Sherry of Millersville, Mo., Dennis Jones and wife Donna of Grand Chain and Clifford Alan Jones of Danville, Ark.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Clyde Clifford Jones.
Funeral service was held Tuesday at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. William Schierbaum officiating. Music was provided by Tammy Smith, pianist and soloist.
Burial followed at Hillerman Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were Brad Jones, Johnny Short, Curt Jones, Kevin Jones, Joey Meyer, Dennis Jones Jr. and Luke Schierbaum. Honorary pallbearers were Randy Moss, James Short, Matt Jones, Shane Jones and Stephen Harris Jr.
Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home of Metropolis was in charge of arrangements.
