Mary Jane Eaves 83, of Houston, Mo., formerly of Metropolis, died Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at Houston House Nursing Center.

Mrs. Eaves enjoyed Bingo, Cardinals baseball and game shows.

She was of the Pentecostal faith.

Survivors include three grandchildren, Anna Kaley and husband Tommy of Licking Mo., Amy Wyatt of Viola, Ark. and Charles Eaves of St. James, Mo.; eight great-grandchildren; three sisters, Dimple Brinker of Brookport, Betty Grace of Paducah and Georgia Emery of Metropolis; and two brothers, Bill Butterfield of Paducah and Mack Butterfield of Chicago.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Cynthia Leek Butterfield; her husband, Charlie Eaves; one son, David Eaves; four sisters; and one brother.

Graveside service was held Monday at Metropolis Memorial Gardens with Rev. Larry Lunsford officiating.

Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home of Metropolis was in charge of arrangements.
