Massac County Lady Patriots softball pitcher Brittany McFall isn’t your prototypical hard-throwing softball pitcher but don’t tell the McCracken County Mustangs that she can’t pitch.

McFall shut down the Mustangs on two hits while striking out only one in Thursday’s showdown.

Coming into the game, the Mustangs were the No. 1 ranked softball team in the state of Kentucky and riding the crest of a 10-game winning streak.

Massac put up bookend scores in the first and seventh innings to back McFall. A couple of errors helped the Lady Pats plate Josie Garduno in the first for a 1-0 lead, and McFall lined a single to right in the seventh, pushing across Mackenzie Cowgill who had tripled with one out in the final frame.
