Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 12 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home in Paducah with Rev. Kenneth Puckett and Rev. Brian Roby officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Kenton Cemetery.
Mr. Kepner served in the U.S. National Guard and had worked at Illinois Central Railroad.
He had achieved the level of master electrician and was currently employed by Electric Energy Inc. of Joppa, with 24 years of service. He was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 148.
Mr. Kepner was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Kathy Miller Kepner; two sons, Michael D. Kepner Jr. and John David Kepner, both of Paducah; one sister, Donna Kay Wynn and husband Richard of Paducah; one brother, James Harold Kepner and wife, Leigh Ann of Paducah; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, David Charles Kepner and Betty Jo Wyatt Kepner.
