Rain washed out Monday’s Senior Day game against Johnston City but MCHS’ Patriots got in two games last week, and managed a split with Anna and Goreville.

The 9-5 loss to highly touted Anna was particularly painful as the Pats took the Wildcats to extra innings before falling 9-5 in nine innings. A-J scored in their first at bat, only to have Massac plate two runs in the bottom of the first. The second inning was scoreless, but Anna put two more runs on the board in the top of the third to grab a 3-2 lead.
