Massac County’s Patriot bowling teams competed Saturday morning in the Carterville Invitational and acquitted themselves fairly well.
Massac’s boys team finished fourth in the seven team field which included Carbondale, Centralia, Carterville, Anna-Jonesboro, Johnston City and Tilghman.
Carbondale’s Terriers took first place with Centralia taking second.
On the girls’ side, Carbondale again took first with Centralia again taking second.
Massac’s Andrew Penrod finished seventh in the boys field with a six game total of 1152 for an average of 192 per game.
Colton Lunsford also turned in a nice series of 1051 for an average of 175.
Massac’s girls were right in the mix after the first three games but slid off the pace to finish sixth.
For Massac, Sydney McNichols rolled a nice six game series of 1054 to finish in fifth place overall.
