Massac County’s Patriots notched their 17th, 18th and 19th wins last week with blowouts of non-conference foe Egyptian and conference opponents Benton and Murphysboro.

The Tuesday night tilt with Egyptian’s Pharaohs had the hint of a competitive game, but Massac’s defense erased that possibility.

Massac trailed 9-8 early and led by just one at 11-10 with four and a half minutes to go in the first quarter.

But the Pats ended the frame with a big flourish, outscoring the Pharaohs 15-6 to push the first quarter margin to 10 at 26-16.
