Paul was born June 27, 1946 in Massac County to Charles Raymond and Mary Francis Hornback Hogue. He married Karen Farris on Nov. 23, 1962 in Paducah. Paul and Karen would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this year.
Paul was retired, having worked at DK Construction in Calvert City, Ky. for several years. He was previously employed by Swinford Trucking in Paducah. Paul and Karen owned and operated Hogue Sewing Center in Paducah for many years.
Paul was of the Christian faith. He was an avid stock car fan. He enjoyed racing stock cars at Reidland and Paducah International Raceway.
Survivors include his wife, Karen of Brookport; son and daughter-in-law, Donnie and Tonya Hogue of Brookport; three grandchildren, Tara Sielbeck and husband Christopher of Brookport, Brittany Schoenherr and husband Jeffrey of Pittsfield, Zachary Hogue of Brookport; two great-grandchildren, Skyler Schoenherr of Pittsfield and Raelyn Sielbeck of Brookport; two twin great-grandchildren on the way, Katherine and Michael Sielbeck; one brother, Charles Ronald Hogue and wife Jean of Metropolis; one brother-in-law, Donald Farris of Metropolis; one nephew, Richard Hogue of Anna; and two nieces, Kimberly and Sherry Hogue of Georgia.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his in-laws, Clarence and Aline Farris; and one brother-in-law, Robert Farris.
Funeral service was held Monday at Brookport Church of God with Rev. Charles Tate and Rev. Willard Walls officiating.
Burial followed at Metropolis Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers were Richard Hogue, Zachary Hogue, John Suggs, Jeffrey Schoenherr, Christopher Sielbeck and Gary Beal.
