Mrs. Farley was a member of the Highway 45 Church of Christ in Metropolis and the Red Hat Society, and was very active with her church and family. Her church and her family were her life, and she loved, and was loved, by all.
Pearl, or Ma as she is fondly known, is survived by her husband of over 55 years, Tom Farley of Metropolis; one daughter, Sue Ellen Ragsdale and husband Michael of Paducah; one son, Stan Farley and wife Sandy of Metropolis; nine grandchildren, Sarah Hawkins and husband Brandon of Paducah, Chris Ragsdale and wife Stacey of Benton, Ky., Matthew Ragsdale of Paducah, Samantha Cox and husband David of Nashville, Tenn. and Stephen Farley, Stacie Farley, Samuel Farley, Colby Ball and Nathan Ball, all of Metropolis; four great-grandchildren, Cameron and Cadin Hawkins of Paducah and Grayson and Jackson Ragsdale of Benton; two sisters, Irene Moorman and Agnes Hopkins, both of Metropolis; one brother, Clarence Holt of Iowa; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and other family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Fannie Stephens Holt; one daughter, Sharon Ball; one brother, Bill Holt; and two sisters, Corine Cummins and Wave Livesay.
Funeral service was held Tuesday at Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home in Metropolis with Mike Shank officiating.
Burial followed at Berea Cemetery in Johnson County. Pallbearers were Chris Ragsdale, Matthew Ragsdale, Stephen Farley, Samuel Farley, Colby Ball and Nathan Ball.
