Metropolis’ Post 306 American Legion baseball team went undefeated in District 25 Tournament play to take the district title.

In title round play, Post 306 whipped number one seed Carrier Mills 13-7 to advance to the final round.

Dalton Mitchell started on the mound for 306 and got the win. Mitchell also cracked a home run in support of his cause.

Brady Austin had a big three-run homer.

Post 306 scored in each of the first four innings taking a 6-2 lead.

Mitchell gave up a lead-off homer in the seventh, ending his afternoon.

Bryce McClellan and Dayton Tripp worked the last three frames for 306.

Louisville beat Carrier Mills 4-2 to set the stage for the title game.
