Mt. Horeb, First Baptist, Life Church Eastland, First United Methodist and Just by Faith churches are encouraging residents to participate in the vigil.
“So many people are mourning the loss of a loved ones, and this will be a chance to come together as a community. “Prayers will be said for the youth, adults, school districts and teachers of the area,” said Tiffany Benberry, spokesperson for Mt. Horeb.
According to Benberry, Mt. Horeb, located at 906 Pearl St. in Metropolis, will be sponsoring a free four-week suicide prevention and education awareness sessions.
The sessions will be held from 6-7 p.m. Nov. 20 and 27 and Dec. 7 and 11.
