Pruett arrested for the death of infant son

A Massac County Grand Jury indicted John A. Pruett, 35, of Metropolis, on Wednesday for the murder of his 15-month-old son, Jackson Pruett.

On April 19, 2010, Jackson had been taken unresponsive to Massac Memorial Hospital in Metropolis. Jackson died in St. Louis Children's Hospital on April 21, 2010, as a result of a closed head injury.
