Organizers in Chicago and Cook County have been active against our request. Now it's time for Illinois Pollution Control Board to hear from southern Illinois. According to Karen Faulkner, administrative assistant at EEI, the letter is already on the website. Individuals only need to fill out the personal information and submit and Faulkner says, "It only takes two minutes of your time."
"I took action to support Illinois workers and communities, and I urge you to do the same," said Faulkner.
Ameren Energy Resources (AER) has asked the Illinois Pollution Control Board to grant it temporary relief from the new environmental regulatory standards in order ensure reduced emissions and high environmental standards while protecting the economic livelihoods of Illinois families.
"Please voice your support to help save jobs, ensure economic vitality and protect the environment before Aug. 15. Go to www.supportillinois.com," said Faulkner.
