Raymond G. Vaughn, 74, of Metropolis, died Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014 at Baptist Health Paducah.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 26 at Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home of Metropolis. Burial will follow at IOOF Cemetery in Joppa with military rites conducted.

Mr. Vaughn was a member of Metropolis First Church of God.

He was also an Army veteran, a member of American Legion Post 306 and commander of Amvets Post 132.

Survivors include one son, Bill Vaughn of Metropolis; one daughter, Debra Barnes of Metropolis; two grandchildren, Raymond D. Vaughn and Kayla Vaughn, both of Metropolis; two brothers, Robert Vaughn and Terry Vaughn, both of Metropolis; and one sister, Doris Henson of Geoff.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Dorothy Borum Vaughn; his wife, Bonnie Vaughn; one grandson, Kevin Jones; and one granddaughter, Kristina Jones.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour on Wednesday at the funeral home.
