But this election isn't for the next president, representative or county official. It's about bringing a movie concerning one of this generation's hottest topics — bullying — to a local theater.
"It's an effort a lot of people in the community are making," said Landee Bryant, executive director of Maiden Alley Cinema. "Bringing this movie to the region is bigger than one person because bullying is just such a horrible topic."
Through a website called Demand It, residents can vote to bring Bully to Paducah. The link — http://movies.eventful.com/competitions/bully2012?utm_source=email&utm_medium=competition&utm_campaign=share_tool_bully_dc — will be open through mid-April.
