Born to Louis and Mary Parker Stubblefield on Nov. 12, 1929, Bob was licensed to preach on Sept. 4, 1958, preaching in churches in Kentucky, Michigan and Illinois until his retirement in 2000.
He served as a local school bus driver for 22 years and did carpenter work.
Bob was a U.S. Army veteran, serving from 1948 through 1950.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Martha Sue Stubblefield of Karnak; three daughters, Sandra Sue Inman and husband Bobbie of Karnak, Helen Louise Blanchard and husband Carl of Metropolis and Tina Lynn Ragsdale and husband Lawrence of Karnak; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by one infant son; three brothers; and one sister.
Funeral service was held Tuesday at Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home in Metropolis with Rev. R. Charles Blair and Rev. Ben Hottel officiating.
Amazing Grace and Victory in Jesus was played.
Burial followed at Hillerman Baptist Church Cemetery with military graveside rites conducted. Pallbearers were Hondo Ragsdale, Adam Ragsdale, Michael Blanchard, Gavin Blanchard, Dillon Blanchard and Daniel Meyer.
