Mr. Beyer was a U.S. Navy Vietnam veteran.
Survivors include his daughter, Michelle Huffman and husband John of Metropolis; one brother-in-law, Bob Riley of Mattoon; two sisters-in-law, Trisha Gibbs of Golconda and Kathy Baker of Nashville, Tenn; two grandchildren, Shane Emery and Brandon Powell; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jo Beyer.
The body was cremated by the Cremation Society of Paducah.
Lindsey Funeral Home in Paducah was in charge of arrangements.
