Participants in Massac County's fourth annual observance of Take Back the Night make their way from Guardian Family Services to the courthouse Thursday. This year's event included messages from Stephanie Smith and Illinois State Trooper Bridget Rice and a moment of silence for Caellagh Eiler, who spoke last year's event. Ali Havens sang This Little Light of Mine as participants received their candles for the event, which was hosted by A Community of Women Inc. and Guardian Family Services.
